Convex Lens
  •  A lens is a transparent material with two surface with atleast one surface is curved
  • The point at which lens concentrate light rays that pass through it is called : Focus
  • The lens which is thicker at the center and narrower at the edges : Convex Lens
  • Convex lens is also known as : Converging lens
  • The lens in human eye is : Convex Lens
  • The image formed in convex lens is : Real and Inverted
  • The lens used in telescopes, microscope, magnifying glass, camera etc is : Convex Lens
  • The focal length of the convex lens is : Positive
  • The power of convex lens is : Positive 
  • The inability to see the objects nearby is called : Long Sight 
  • Long sight can be rectified using : Convex Lens




Concave Lens
  • The lens in which the narrower at center and thicker at edges is : Concave Lens
  • Concave lens is also called : Diverging Lens
  • The image formed in concave lens is : small, virtual and erect
  • The focal length of a concave lens is : Negative
  • The power of concave lens is : Negative
  • The inability to see the distant objects clearly is called: Short Sight 
  • Short sight can be rectified using : Concave Lens
  • Power (P) of the lens is inversely proportional to Focal length (f), ie  P = 1/f
  •  The condition in which the pressure inside eye is higher than normal : Glaucoma
  • Mirror Equation : 1/u + 1/v = 1/f
